Early Packet Pickup

The first of two early packet pickup opportunities in Santa Barbara, this one earlier in the day at Santa Barbara's premier running store. In-store specials and a $10 discount coupon to accompany bib and shirt. Only registered guests will be able to pick up their packets at this event.

Welcome Reception and Santa Barbara Wine Tasting

The 2nd of two pre-race events in Santa Barbara, held on Thursday, May 10th. Join us at Kunin Tasting room in downtown Santa Barbara (1 block from the Santa Barbara Running Company) to sample hand crafted wines pared perfectly with appetizers to suit your pre-race regimen. This is the official kick-off to the race weekend festivities. Cost includes wine tasting, appetizers, entertainment, plus the opportunity to pick up your race bib and shirt in advance. Only runners that have purchased a ticket to this event will be able to pick up their packets at Kunin.

Pre-Race Pasta Dinner with Bart Yasso

Join running icon Bart Yasso of Runners World Magazine for a memorable Pre-Race Pasta Dinner at the charming Santa Ynez Valley Historic Museum in the Parks-Janeway Carrriage House located just steps from the race finish. The Race Director and race announcer will provide insight on the course for your race preparation. This is carbo loading the Destination Races way, with a menu to include farm fresh salads, homemade pasta, assorted breads and locally made dessert. Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Finishers Party:
Movie and Dinner Under the Stars at Kalyra Winery

One of our most unusual post race parties to date! Kalyra Winery will be presenting an outdoor movie screening of the movie Sideways (portions of the film were shot at Kalyra), Arrive early for appetizers and wine tasting, enjoy the valley's best wood fired Flatbread Pizza, and when the sun goes down, kick back and relax on the lawn for a night to remember.
