Founded in 1992, the Breast Cancer Fund identifies – and advocates for elimination of – the environmental and other preventable causes of the disease, working from the knowledge that breast cancer is not simply a personal tragedy, but a public health priority. The organizers of the Santa Barbra Wine Country Half are donating $2 from your registration fee to the Breast Cancer Fund. But did you know that you can do more? Race participants are encouraged to raise funds with an easy online program.

Additional Santa Barbara County based non-profit organizations are providing volunteers while receiving exposure and contributions for their efforts.
Santa Ynez Valley Union High School students, staff and its boosters are the primary provider of event volunteers. They receive $2 from each race entry plus addtional contributions per each volunteer provided. To sign up as a volunteer please email Jennifer Rasmussen at Jrasmussen@SYVUHSD.ORG. Volunteers receive an event volunteer shirt and goodie bag.
